Admissions Policy
In order to enroll in an ISSA course program an interested student must provide proof that he/she is 18 years or older and have a high school diploma, GED or demonstrate an ability to perform post-secondary level course work.
Level of Course Offerings
The ISSA offers educational courses in fitness and health and is classified as a specialized vocational distance education provider by the DETC.
Tuition Fees for Degree Programs (per semester/quarter hour)
We do not currently offer Degree Programs at this time
Special Mailing and Postage Fees
The ISSA ships all courses textbooks, workbooks, and accompanying material via FedEx and ships all certificates and ID cards upon completion via US first class Postage. Normal shipping time for FedEx is 2 to 4 working days and normal shipping time for US First Class mail is 3 to 5 working days. The cost of domestic shipping via FedEx is $25.00 per course. The cost varies for international students depending on the country they are in. The ISSA pays all associated postage fees in the mailing of official certificates and ID cards upon passing the enrolled in course.
Transcript Fee
The transcript fee is $10.00 per transcript request.
Registration Fee
The ISSA currently has a $95.00 registration fee which is included in the overall course price.

Currently students have various option plans available to them based on the full price of enrollment
1. Full pay
2. Two-pay ($310 x 2)
3. Three-pay ($216.67 x 3 and there is a $30 processing charge factored into this plan)
4. Four-pay ($165.00 x 4 and there is a $40 processing charge factored into this plan)
During special times of the year when promotions are held students only have two payment options

Refund Policy
Students who cancel within 5 days of course enrollment will receive a refund of all money paid to the institution. Beyond 5 days (but before the end of the enrollment period) the course may be canceled and a refund requested. Refund is a percentage of refundable tuition and is based on the percentage of course work completed (see table below). The non-refundable registration fee of $95 and shipping costs will be subtracted before the refund percentage is calculated.
When you submit your final examination via mail, online, or seminar, your assignments will be considered 100% complete and you will no longer be eligible for a tuition refund. You can request cancelation in any manner, but we recommend you make your request in writing. We provide a form to help document their request.
Refunds are based on a percentage of the course completed as documented by the ISSA.

Lesson Submissions
While this is a self-paced course, the lesson submission schedule should be such that course will be completed in 24 months.
Course Completions Time and Extensions
On average each course takes between 10 to 16 weeks to complete. While it may only take 10 to 16 weeks, when a student enrolls with the ISSA we allow them two (2) full years from the date of their enrollment to complete their coursework.
Each student can petition for up to two (2) six (6) month extensions prior to end of their term enrollment. The student will be charged $49.00 for each six month extension not to exceed two extensions per course. The first requested six month extension must run concurrent to the original enrollment expiration period. If a second extension is requested then that must run concurrent to the expiration of the first six month extension.
Grading Policy
A 92-100, B 85-91, C 75-84, D 70-74, F Below 70
In order to qualify to take the official course final examination, each student must complete 3/4ths of the associated course quizzes. Once done, students must then earn a passing score of 75% or better on all sections of their course final examination, submit proof of completing an Adult CPR and AED certification and be verified paid in full. Upon successful completion of all course requirements the student will be awarded an authorized certificate and ID card from the ISSA Professional Division.
Transfer Policy
No transfer credit is given in vocational programs. Advanced standing may, on approval, be granted to those applicants who have completed comparable work with a C grade or higher from accredited institutions.
