Course Description: Basic accounting concepts, financial statements, analysis, and control of current assets such as cash, receivables, and inventory. Income tax planning, cost analysis, standard costs for product costing, time value of money, quantification of risk and uncertainty, utility theory, cost of capital and capital structure, capital budgeting under capital rationing, management decisions, and investment.

Course Description: This course explores the world of cost accounting. It reviews the nature and calculation of costs associated with delivering products and services. Fundamental analytical tools that are utilized for cost accounting are explored, and students assess how cost information can be used to make managerial decisions. Throughout this course, students will participate in discussions with others enrolled in the course. In addition, students will have individual projects, which will include assignments and minicases.

Course Description: This course is intended to help you develop an understanding of basic financial accounting in pursuit of organizational goals and strategies. By the end of the course, you should be familiar with the technical skills of financial statements, accounting information systems, operating decisions, and financing decisions. As a manager/accountant, you should be able to identify relevant information and the appropriate methods for analyzing information, working together with others in a financial, global, and ethical environment.
